Session Summary

  • The party awaken and head upstairs; they wait around for a while, seeing that nobody is up they head upstairs. Khavi places her ears against the professor’s bedroom door and listens in. Inside she can hear two people snoring, one is clearly the professors, the other is soft and feminine. She then listens into the Nathaniel’s room, where she can here him shivering and muttering to himself. Nathaniel wakes and comes out of his room, he looks like he hasn’t slept but tells them that he’ll wake the professor in a minute and that they should head back downstairs
  • Edran, using his unprecedented manners, barges into the professor’s room to see the professor leant up against the backboard of the bed fast alseep; Anguish is sprawled out on the floor of the room in a pile of broken glass and glittery silver liquid. Nathaniel sees this and comes rushing inside, casting Dispell Magic on the professor to wake him. The professor slowly comes to, looking around to see Anguish on the floor he goes deathly pale and tells them all to leave.
  • (Anguish Only) Anguish wakes on the floor of the professor’s room, she vaguely remembers a scream of pain, Dalen Ironbrand, and the name Lily from the previous night, but that’s about it; she is almost immediately sick. She and the professor talk for a few minutes, he thanks he before ushering her downstairs.
  • The party have their breakfast (minus Anguish who went straight downstairs) in relative silence, the professor looks less tired than on the previous day, but Nathaniel looks awful, his eyes are sunken into his head and he is visually shaking; Myri asks whether he’s ok, he says that he’d fine but it’s beyond obvious that he’s lying.
  • Later on the others can hear Anguish hitting things and yelling downstairs. They all go to investigate, finding Anguish trying to break her staff in a state of fury. Khavi enters and Anguish throws the staff at her, missing horribly, before slamming the door in her face. Edran then enters on his own, narrowly dodging a swing to the head; the staff snaps in two on the door-frame. Anguish quickly grabs both ends before rushing back inside, pushing the desk against the door to barricade herself inside.
  • Khavi goes out to forage for alchemy supplies, whilst Myri stays at the workshop and reads a book on Transmutational magic. Edran goes out to find some cartographer’s tools where upon he meets a man named Malgrum Hjoldain; the owner of Hjoldain Shipping and Receiving. He manages to haggle the price of his cartographer’s tools down to 10 gold on the promise that Edran would bring Malgrum any oddities or gems he should find.
  • Whilst Myri is reading she hears Anguish burst out of her room and collapse on the floor; she rushes to help, finding Anguish on her hands and knees outside her room, clasping her throat as blood pours onto the floor. Myri casts Cure Wounds and seals the hole. Myri questions Anguish on why she did it, Anguish tells her it was an accident.
  • The party return home for a quiet dinner before going to bed
  • The party awaken to the sound of movement outside, many people are moving throughout the streets. They finish breakfast and go to investigate, Nathaniel going ahead of them.
  • They arrive to see Dalen Ironbrand stood atop a podium, much like how Anguish had seen him weeks before. He tells the crowd how Lord Daldur had died during the night and how he would be taking his place. He then begins to target many people within the city, including Uruk and the party. They quickly leave the crowd, all going in different direction.
  • (Edran Only) Edran climbs up to a rooftop and shrouds himself in shadow has he runs off towards The Hovel, bouncing from roof to roof as he does. He arrives at The Hovel within the hour and rushes down to see the King of Beggars to tell him of Daldur’s demise. The King already knows but thanks Edran for the information nonetheless.
  • Khavi and Anguish return to the professor and tell him of what’s happened, the professor immediately begins to pack his bags and prepares to leave at a moment’s notice. He asks the two to go out and find Nathaniel. After an hour of moving around the city they return to find that Nathaniel had returned before them.
  • (Myri Only) Myri goes back to Dalen Ironbrand’s mansion where she confronts him again; threatening him. Dalen just brushes off her threats, telling her that before long, all those who would oppose him will end up in his dungeon.
  • They eventually regroup back at the professor’s workshop and help him pack his things; will be ready to leave within a few days. They then all go to bed.

Session Summary

  • The party awake, Myri and Edran sit up and play cards, Khavi does experiment downstairs, and Anguish has a horrible hangover, only remembering bits of the previous night, being quite surprised at finding Edran upstairs; the professor looks he hasn’t slept much. Anguish then sneaks out of the house. Curoius of where she’s going and wanting to explore the city, Edran follows her.
  • (Edran and Anguish Only) Edran folows Anguish to the temple of Nevthar, where Anguish sits through a service and begins to talk to Father Morona. Morona gives her an amulet of Nevthar and geins to run her down on what Nevthar stands for and how he is worshipped withinthis church. Anguish takes the amulet and puts it into her cloak, where Morona, uch to his surprise, notices Edran hiding behind one of the pillars; expecting hi to run Morona holds him in place with magic whilst Anguish storms over to him, her claws of the dragon active. Morona, seeing that this could end very badly, seperates the two of them and has them make up, he then sends Edran outside. Him and Anguish talk for a few more minutes until she leaves and tries to lose Edran in the winding side-streets of the city, her efforts are in vain as he arrives back at the workshop mere seconds after Anguish as she slams the door in his face.
  • (Myri Only) Myri goes out to speak to Dalen Ironbrand, the guards don’t let her in at first, but she gets herself a letter from Lord Daldur to get inside. She finds Dalen and asks him about various characters within Daldur; Dalen questions her on her relationship with the professor and why she stole from him. Myri then returned home where she was taught to play cards by Edran.
  • The party sleep
  • They awake and have breakfast; not long after there’s a knock at the door; Nathaniel answers it and tells them that it’s a hooded dwarven man looking for Khavi. Nathaniel opens the door properly to reveal Hjolnar, the man Khavi met not two days before hand. Hjolnar asks the party to come with him to The Hovel, the professor seems very against to them going but lets them all leave without much of a fuss.
  • They arrive at The Hovel, Helga is there waiting for them, along with a large number of patrons of the bar. Hjolnar takes them into the back room, pressing some keys on the piano as he goes. They enter into a side room, kegs of various alcoholic drinks line the walls, as they enter a bookshelf begins to move from its position revealing a trapdoor leading down. Hjolnar gestures for them to follow him as he descends into the darkness. The party follow behind and find themselves, once again, in the sewers of Daldur. Hjolnar leads them through the winding passages into an open chamber where several dozen people, most of which look homeless and frail and busy moving around the room, sharing information and shappening nweapons. Hjolnar then leads them into a back room where they all see a rather flamboyant looking man in a green suit and a red tophat.
  • He introduces himself as The King of Beggars, and tells the party that he is the leader of all the Daldan resistance. He asks the party here what he has to say and then decide whether they want to join him. Hjolnar steps forward and reveals himself as Dalen’s brother; he tells them that Dalen had his father murdered and attempted to have Hjolnar killed too so that he could take up leadership of the family. Hjolnar fled from Dalen, seeing that there way nothing he could do to stop him alone; he’s been plotting Dalen’s downfall for an incomprehensible amount of time.
  • The party, knowing their own hatred for Dalen, and seeing what he’s done to the group and those around them, join with hesitation coming only from Anguish who seems very apprehensive of joining the resistance.
  • The King of Beggars seems thrilled to have the party on board but first asks them to have their strength tested against Pit Manton, a friend of the Beggar King’s. The party defeat Pit, Edran showing great martial prowess. The Beggar King is thrilled to see that they’re so strong and rewards them with free drinks a The Hovel, giving Edran a wink as they all leave.
  • They then spend the next few hours drinking heavily (well…at least Anguish and Edran do), leaving The Hovel fairly late in the night. They move through the winding streets of Dalur’s waterfront district before being ambushed by a group of thugs hired by Dalen Ironbrand.
  • After a fight that was surprisingly easy considering both Edran and Anguish could barely stand, only one thug is left alive as the three are dragged by their collars towards the river by Anguish; who seems to be far crueller than usual on this night. She burns his body badly before trying to throw him into the river. She is stopped by Khavi and Myri who spend a few minutes interrogating him.
  • He tells them that Dalen hired him and his comrades to deal with the party due to their actions previously and that he plans to have the all half-orcs in the city (Uruk especially) hunted down and captured. It’s also mentioned that Dalen has his sights set on the throne of Daldur.
  • Anguish and Edran drag the thug back to The Hovel where he’s killed by Helga and the others. The other bodies are then dumped in the river. The party then returns to the workshop where they find the professor drinking whisky at the table. Edran, Myri and Khavi head downstairs whilst Anguish begins to talk to the professor.
  • (Anguish Only) The professor looks like he hasn’t slept in a week, Anguish recognises the look all too well. She asks him what’s going on and he doesn’t say much, just fiddles with the ring on his left hand. He says that he just wants to sleep and he goes upstairs; knowing what this means Anguish follows him upstairs. He sits at his bed, continuing to fiddle with the ring; two un-drunken potions sit on his cabinet side, Anguish tries many methods to give it to him but he continually refuses, causing Anguish to make several threats of violence that the professor just brushes off, telling her that he deserves whatever’s coming to him. He retells the story of the death of his mother and father, adding parts where he was trained by Gezeer Faeylar and was given the workshop upon the completion of his apprenticeship. He then tells of a woman he met named Lily, and that they were to, at one point be married. Dalen tried to have him killed one day, however the professor was out; he returned to find his fiancée both raped and bled-out on his living room floor. After many more minutes of talking, Anguish manages to get the professor to drink the potion, before drinking one herself and passing out of the professor’s bedroom floor.

Session Summary

  • The party awaken in a small, stone room. Ana stands in the doorway and greets them. She takes them out of the room, down a long corridor with various shady looking individuals inside. They enter into a much larger chamber with a central table with a perfect light projection of the Infinite Isles on it.
  • She sits and begins to explain how, her organisation, The Couriers, know that very soon, Oricalcos will invade Fador, and without intervention the Fadans will be quickly destroyed. She asks them to try to find out as much information about the orcs as possible. The party, not fully trusting of Ana, refuse her offer. She is understanding and lets them be on their way, using a magical dagger to open up a portal back into Dher Moldir; not before addressing a cloaked figure in the shadows, telling him that ‘He bests be careful’, before he retreats into the shadows.
  • The party step through the portal into the courtyard of Dher Moldir, where they’re almost immediately spotted by riders and the whole fortress erupts into cheers as the party are funnelled towards the Main Hall, dozens of riders and wyverns alike. Allaia comes out of the hall, sees them all and run to embrace them, nearly cracking their ribs as she does so. She takes them inside where the Skymaster is waiting for them.
  • He thanks them deeply for their service and grants them all runes on their hands to aid them in battle. He then says that they should take their knowledge to Lord Daldur and begins to stand. He leads the party into a back room and down a set of stairs into a small storeroom. He presses some bricks on the far wall revealing a small chamber with a runed circle that some of the party recognise as a Circle of Teleportation. Vaidras thanks them once again and sends them back to Daldur.
  • They appear in a small, well decorated chamber with a single exit. They go to leave but are stopped by 2 guards pointing muskets at them. After several minutes of failed negotiations they’re dragged off towards the dungeon for trespassing.
  • Along the way they’re stopped by Daldur’s butler, Rutherford who scolds the guards for their stupidity and bring the party to see Lord Daldur.
  • Daldur enters the room with a younger dwarf, perhaps 14 or 15 in dwarven years, who helps him into his throne. Daldur then thanks the party greatly, showing great concern on their mention of the Earthshaper. He thanks them once again and tells them to go home and rest.
  • As they go to leave Khavi sees the Lord begin to cough uncontrollably, spattering gouts of blood onto the floor.
  • They return to the professor and Nathaniel, they’re both thrilled to see the group.
  • They talk for a bit, skipping over their encounters with Bardrum and Trukash before going to bed.
  • The next few days go by without any real major events, Khavi purchases some more alchemical supplies, Myri buys herself a dress and Anguish listens to Arrak and visits The Hovel, it almost goes south very quickly, but Arrak calls it off.
  • On the 21st of Argihs the party awakens to find that Xaxi has left, leaving some of the money she had and a note saying that she has a mission to complete and can’t get caught up in a war between two nations. The group spend most of the day sitting around not doing much at all. Anguish especially seems very down, but perhaps for other reasons.
  • A couple more days go by with Anguish looking progressively worse, she’s eating fractions of what most people eat (let alone how much she usually does), and looks like she hasn’t slept at all. The professor soon discovers that she hasn’t been drinking the potion and confronts her about it. She doesn’t seem to care and leaves the workshop.
  • Several more days go by, Anguish is sleeping in the Waterfront district, waking up having set things on fire on a day-to-day basis, and progressively getting weaker.
  • (Anguish Only)The Day of the Dead comes around and Anguish speaks to Father Morona after having sat in the pews of his services all week; Morona manages to persuade her to go home and seek her redemption. Anguish, not having slept properly in nearly 2 weeks barely makes it within 200ft of the professor’s workshop before she sees two cloaked figures in white masks walking towards her, one with a pair of daggers, the other with a staff. They chase Anguish and she barely makes it to the professor’s doorstep before one of them sinks a dagger into her side.
  • Khavi and Myri, having been looking for Anguish, return to find her sprawled unconscious outside the workshop. They rush her inside, calling the Professor as they do so who quickly runs down the stairs to find them.
  • Seeing Anguish in Myri’s arms he quickly flings everything off of the table and has Myri set Anguish down. She wakes up and immediately begins to have a panic attack, launching fire bolts at the ceiling. The professor restrains her with magic and manages to calm her down and get her to drink a potion. He then takes her downstairs to her room and sit with her.
  • Whilst the professor is waiting for Anguish to wake, Myri and Khavi go out
  • (Khavi Only) Khavi goes to see Angela to ask if she can teach her how to make the potion herself, Angela tells her that the potion is both alchemical and magical and that she could not make it herself. She then goes and buys some sugared almonds from the Day of the Dead Market; whilst there she sees a group of people painting a mural of a regal looking tiefling woman, Khavi recognises her as Queen Iniza Aflith, the previous queen of Alucard. She also sees another much grander mural being painted of a young, very skinny dwarven boy, stood in front of it is Dalen Ironbrand along with his black-garbed wife, his eldest son Emrig and his daughter Marlyl; Khavi avoids them.
She sees a man dwarven man in a black cloak gesturing towards her to follow. She does so. They enter into a narrow ally and the man takes off his hood; he introduces himself has Hjolnar; someone who ’doesn’t much like Dalen’ and asks Khavi to come to The Hovel some time, he then leaves.
  • (Myri Only) Myri gets Anguish some bread for when she gets up then goes for a wander through the northern, richer section of town: it reminds her very much of her home. Out of the corner of her eye she spots someone looking at her in the shadows. She goes to investigate and finds Mechar, who quickly apologises. He says that he’s sorry for his actions with Bardrum. Myri leaves him alone.
  • Myri and Khavi, after finishing go to enjoy the festivities as much as possible
  • (Anguish Only) Anguish eventually wakes to find herself in her room with the professor sitting nearby; he quickly notices and hands her some food and water which Anguish nibbles on. They then head upstairs and chat for a while; that chatting quickly evolves into the two of them baking a cake, then helping Anguish with her writing; this seems to cheer them both out of their very depressed states. They then decide to head out and have a friendly drink together at The Hovel.
They spend a few hours at The Hovel; the professor drinks a little, Anguish however gets absolutely smashed; Helga eventually sends them both on their way as she wants to take part in the late night Day of the Dead festivities, giving them a bottle of firebrand whisky to go with.
  • They begin to head home, upon which they meet Edran, the Elven man seen in the party’s vision, he claims to have seen Anguish in a vision too. The professor offers him Xaxi’s room at the workshop.
  • Nathaniel, Myri and Khavi find the Professor, Edran and Anguish on the bridge, having been worried where they’d gone. The professor introduces Edran to the group and they head back.
  • On arrival Anguish finishes the cake with Edran before the professor takes her downstairs where she can get to sleep with the potion: the others soon follow.

Session Summary

  • Myri is awoken by the young girl Ara.
  • They wonder what to do; Myri going outside to think.
  • After a few minutes a fissure opens up under Myri’s feet, sending her plummeting into a newly formed opening in the earth
  • The others try to help her by sending a rope down into the ravine, tying it to a torch sconce. It quickly tears the sconce off of the wall sending the rest of the party into the pit..
  • They find themselves in a cavern filled with Earthshaped beasts; using a ledge and some stealth, the party sneak their way around the earthshaped and into a further cavern.
  • Inside they find an enormous orc monk meditating on the floor at the far end of the room; he stands and introduces himself as Earthshaper Trukash and attacks the party.
  • After a hard fight they whittle Trukash down; he is on the ground with Anguish slowing approaching him. He stands once more and flexes his muscles and a small surge of energy comes from his body seemingly renewing him. He places his hands together gently and a huge wall of stone blocks off most of the room, leaving a small hole for him to smile cruelly at Anguish. Anguish then launches another Magic Missile at Trukash who swats them out of the air with ease. He then places his hands against the back wall of the cave opens up a 100ft+ long tunnel without even batting an eye. He looks back at the party and taunts the briefly before bounding off in the tunnel as the cavern begins to shake violently.
  • The party begin to run, many of the party falling several dozen feet into a pit and using her last arrow of travelling, Myri saves them.
  • When they arrive at where they fell Anguish is the only one left concious, dragging her friends along with her before being knocked out by a falling rock…the whole party is dying .
  • They all awake in a dark open space with three pedestals, each holding their treasured trinket. The Alabaster Mask, the Bone Pipes, the Music Box and the Droplet Earring. They approach and touch their trinket seeing their lives flash before them in a series of images. They then fall into the image of a hoard of orcs attacking a quickly crumpling army of dwarves, it then changes to an image of three lizard like eyes glaring at them all, each eyelid a different colour: one red, one green and one white.
  • It then fades to black…

Session Summary

  • Party is given a brief tour of Dher Moldir by Allaia
  • They enter into the Arcanium where they meet Malgrum Hjoldain, an ex-member of the Aurora Society and arcanist at Dher Moldir; he quickly understands Xaxi’s connection to the Ashari Lands and speaks of his time studying it. Xaxi asks to see his notes in private the next day.
  • They go to the mess hall where they meet Mara, a burly half-orc woman, who seems to be the cook for the fortress; the party are surprised by this as people of orc dissent are often highly persecuted. Mara tells them that ‘the ones at Dher Moldir aren’t ALL bigots’. They take a little left over bread and head to bed.
  • They wake; Khavi and Anguish go to the mess hall to gather some food for them to eat in their rooms whilst Xaxi goes to the arcanary to speak to Malgrum.
  • (Khavi Only) Khavi enters into the rider and wyvern filled mess hall, Anguish in tow; whilst Anguish is acquiring some food, Khavi begins to listen in on the conversations around her. She overhears a conversation between Allaia and a couple of other riders about how for several weeks Dher Moldir has been under attack from an Earthshaper, who is creating vast quantities of Earthshaped beasts to attack; they are unsure whether it is a large group of Earthshapers, or one absurdly powerful one.
  • (Xaxi Only) Xaxi returns to Malgrum who gives her some of his notes; they mostly list things that she already knows aside from her now knowing that the magic within the mist is created by an external magical source
  • Khavi and Anguish return to their quarters, Xaxi not far behind, and they begin to eat. Anguish approaches Myri‘s room and asks her whether she’s awake. She replies saying that she is incredibly ill; Anguish gives her a sleeping potion so that she can sleep through it.
  • A while later Allaia enters and takes the party (minus Myri) to see Skymaster Alforok; as they approach the main hall they see another dwarf walking down the steps glaring at them, he briefling insults the party and walks off; Allaia says that his name is Palthus and that he’s both an asshole, and the Skymaster’s son.
  • They enter into a large chamber, several banners bearing the symbol of the Wyvern Riders line the pillars of the room. Sat in a stone throne further along is Skymaster Alforok, his enormous Wyvern Vissak behind him.
  • They hand him the letter and he shows great concern reading it; he thanks them for their service but says that he can’t spare any riders yet as Dher Moldir has been under attack for weeks by the Earthshaped. He elaborates on the Earthshaped and their creators, telling the party how they’re Orcish Monks from Oricalcos and that they use their earth powers to create Earthshaped monsters.
  • Continues to speak until they hear a loud crash outside. Both Alforok and Allaia both immediately jump into action, mounting their wyverns and dashing outside. The party follows suit, seeing enormous boulders flying across the sky above them; seeing many people rushing into the towers the party decides to follow them and grab the sleeping Myri along the way.
  • They grab Myri and run downstairs into the safe house, placing her in a small corner. A young Eladrin girl by the name of Ara asks Anguish whether she’s going to be ok.

Session Summary

  • The party awake and begin to move onward
  • After an hour or so of travel they find themselves lost in the quickly thickening forest
  • As Xaxi begins to lead them back on track, they come across a shrine to the god Malatuum in the centre of a glade; the shrine is decorated with the skulls of several dwarves.
  • They continue onward, wary of their surroundings, eventually finding their way back onto the right path
  • Several hours pass and the party begins to start thinking about finding a spot to set up camp, until they hear a roar above them as a winged beast flies over their head. It loops over their heads and goes into a dive towards the party; they take off on their horses.
  • It lands in front of the group, it is a scaled creature with a long neck and tail, it’s arms and wings are fused as one set of limbs. It snarls at the party, bearing its sharp fangs and long forked tongue; Xaxi recognises the creature as a wild wyvern.
  • They are forced into a long fight with the wyvern in which Khavi is lifted off of her horse and carried several hundred feet into the air. Myri uses a masterfully placed shot to shoot the wyvern out of the sky, sending Khavi plummeting down towards the ground.
  • Khavi falls over 100ft before another group of wyverns dart across the sky, picking Khavi right out of the air. Khavi looks up and sees a large black wyvern being ridden by a tall woman who smiles down at her.
  • The three wyverns and their riders land, the woman pdropping Khavi as gently as possible onto the ground. The woman steps off of the wyvern, taking off her helmet and revealing her long, strawberry blonde hair. She asks the party what the were doing out in these parts; they tell her about the letter they’re to give to Skymaster Alforok. She chooses to believe the party and offers to guide them to the outpost.
  • They travel for about an hour, upon which they find a small tower guarded by a wyvern and its rider. The group put their horses into a small stable and reluctantly mount the wyverns. Khavi goes with the woman, Xaxi and Anguish go with a dwarvern man named Derstal and Myri climbs onto a much larger wyvern with a large, burly human rider named Karll.
  • They take off, Anguish keeping her eyes closed the whole time, Zarzire burying himself into her shirt so he doesn’t fly away. The wyverns fly upward towards the mountains.
  • As they turn around a corner Dher Moldir is in sight; it is a tall, stone fortress sitting in the mountains. They wyverns begin to fly towards it, climbing ever higher as they do.
  • They reach a point where the party are beginning to wonder why they’ve climbed so high; the woman looks back at Khavi and tells her to hold on a little tighter as the three wyverns stop beating their wings simultaneously, beginning to spiral towards the ground. Anguish and Xaxi just bearly leaning over the side before they violently throw up.
  • Just before they hit the ground the wyverns spin out of the dive and fly right through the gates of the fortress making a skidding landing onto the cobble ground.
  • They dismount, most of the party having some difficulty. The woman turns towards the group, her helmet off once more, she welcomes them to Dher Moldir and introduces herself as Sky Guardian Alaia del Toria.

Anguish looks for signs of him being a tiefling whilst Xaxi suddenly realises that he could quite possibly be an Eladrin; the purest of elves, rarely leave the feywild, let alone coming out of Uparia.
  • They leave the temple of nevthar, Khavi and Anguish return to the Professor’s Workshop whilst Xaxi and Myri go to the barracks to speak to Bakham
  • Khavi goes downstairs to sleep whilst Anguish begins browsing books
  • (Anguish Only) Nathaniel approaches Anguish and begins to ask her about her nightmares, telling her that he’s been having nightmares since he was young and that he know the Professor has told her things but he doesn’t know what because “the professor is a very bad liar”. She tells him that she’s from Sloporf forest and she was there for a few years but she doesn’t remember how many, he then asks whether she has any friends or family; she quickly says she doesn’t He then asks what he looked like in the nightmare, she says she looked live a horned devil with wings, he says this is about on par with the usual. He then asks whether there were any notable markings anywhere; she mentions the drawing and reveals that it was Queen Dodoris, someone who “causes a lot of pain for a lot of people”
  • Myri and Xaxi arrive at the barracks and see Bakham; he thanks them for their help around town and gives them 1000gp to share between them. He then asks all of them to come to the town hall at 8pm as the lord has a proposition for them
  • They return to the professor’s workshop and Myri enters Khavi‘s room to see that her room is full of alchemical tools and is a mess; she doesn’t notice Myri entering. Myri gives Khavi her money and proceeds to ask her about the drawing of a flower on her wall. Khavi explains that it is some kind of legendary alchemical ingredient that she has spent the past several years of her life trying to find. She then tells Khavi that they’re going to meet the lord at 8:00pm. Xaxi also tell Anguish about this upstairs too.
  • They eat dinner; the professor is very quiet
  • The party visits the town hall; inside is Lord Daldur sitting in a chair/throne, to his left is Bakham with his hands behind his back; they approach and Daldur thanks them for their warning of the orcs and their assistance within the town. He asks he they will assist Fador once more; a mousefolk woman approaches and places a table, whilst a butler with an amazing pencil brush moustache places a piece of parchment, a bottle of ink and a quil.
  • The contract effectively states that the party would become agents of Fador until either the end of the year or until the lord dies. The party will receive 450gp per month + extra if they do additional tasks
  • After they’ve signed the contract, Lord Dadur then begins to detail their first assignment; they’re to go north and deliver a message to Skymaster Alforok at Dher Moldir; the headquarters of the Wyvern Riders, apparently the road is quite dangerous with bandits and beasts. He is sending them instead of guards as not to raise too much of an alarm with the already scared citizens of Fador.
  • They’re given their monthly 450gp and sent off to go and rest; they are to leave on the 9th
  • They arrive home and quickly go to bed; Anguish stays up to try and improve her writing but quickly falls asleep…she has another nightmare.
  • She wakes up relatively early in the morning and hastily puts all her things away and heads downstairs to hide in her room.
  • Everyone else gets up for breakfast; Uruk says he heard about their mission and recommends they secure themselves horses, supplies and perhaps to visit The Travller’s Den for some magical items
  • Anguish bought some bread for the journey, Myri bought some arrows, Khavi bought some alchemical supplies and Xaxi bought some spears
  • Anguish also went to the alchemy shop and had an argument with Angela which she promptly lost
  • They all then visited The Traveller’s Den where they bought some magical items, Xaxi bought a Staff of the Python, Anguish bought a Brooch of Shielding, Myri bought a Boundless Quiver and Khavi bought a ______. They also used some of their group fund to buy a Bag of Holding and a Figurine of Wondrous Power: Silver Raven.
  • (Anguish Only) When they all leave, Anguish notices a tiefling man that she has seen several times throughout town, she moves away from the group and he follows her. After several minuets of avoiding him, she turns around and asks him what he wants.
  • He says that a man named Belrich Bardrum is out for her head, and he has been tasked with finding her; he also knows almost everything about [[: anguish | Anguish]].
  • (Anguish Only) She goes and buys all of the bread rolls from the bakery, which she distributes out to the people in the Waterfront district. There she meets [[: arrak | Arrak]], who, after several minutes of sniffing the bread she gave him for poisons. He tells Anguish his story and says that if she wishes to see him again she should visit ‘The Hovel’. Anguish then returns to the professor’s workshop, seeing her first skyship on the way.
